Writing has always been an indispensable part of my life. It’s encompassed everything from creative writing to scientific research publications to a guidebook on historic house museums. But poetry is what has stayed with me through thick and thin.

Every life is its own universe. And every poem expresses one unique facet of our infinitely nuanced stories. Poetry is, paradoxically, a way to know ourselves more deeply while also being the literary version of walking in someone else’s shoes. That’s one of the things I love about it.

In my own work, the constant interplay of past and present, loss and (sometimes) renewal forms the territory I return to most often. I hope my poems resonate with you.
